Even the suspicion that amalgam can be toxic to humans, is enough reason not to use it in our practice. For aesthetic restorations we use special composites. They are composed of a mixture of plastic, ceramic and quartz particles , are tooth-colored and thus come almost invisible when applied to your teeth .
Even experts often only can detect them at a second glance. For the filling of larger defects individual laboratory-made fillings are generally more appropriate.
These so-called ceramic inlays stand up to the chewing forces and pressure reliably.
